Susan Krebsbach, DVM
Practice Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Krebsbach, affectionately known as Dr. Susan, has always had a passion for animals, but her initial career path did not lead her to veterinary medicine. After graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, she started out as a Systems Engineer for the IBM Corporation. As her career blossomed at IBM, she was promoted to the level of Advisory Marketing Representative, where she enjoyed much success in the world of computers, including being recognized as one of the top 5% marketing representatives in the country. Although IBM was a wonderful company to work for and she enjoyed professional success there, she heard another calling: veterinary medicine.

Dr. Krebsbach decided to turn in her briefcase for books and started veterinary school at The Ohio State University. She felt that this would provide a perfect opportunity to capture her passion for animals and encompass her business background. After graduation, Dr. Krebsbach worked as a small animal general practitioner for many years. During this time, her interest in and experience with animal behavior intensified increasing her knowledge and experience through performing behavior consultations, continuing education, and participation in the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB).  Because Dr. Krebsbach feels that there is such a tremendous need to address the issue of animal behavior problems and how to prevent them, she opened a veterinary animal behavior consulting service, Creature Counseling.

Dr. Krebsbach has been a featured speaker at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine, as well as local professional and animal rescue organizations, has written an animal behavior series, and author of several articles on animal behavior. She is a past president and vicepresident for the Dane County Veterinary Medical Association. In addition, she is the proud founder of Madison Cat Project (formerly Dane County Friends of Ferals) and has volunteered her services to several animal rescue organizations. For these efforts, Dr. Krebsbach has been recognized, including: “The Heart of Veterinary Medicine” awarded by the Alliance for Animals, Alley Cat Allies' "Veterinarian of the Year Award for Excellence," "The Laurie Award" from the Watertown Humane Society, "Medical Services Volunteer of the Year" award from the Dane County Humane Society, and Capitol Area Humane Society's "Outstanding Service Award."

Dr. Krebsbach is truly dedicated to the enhancement of the special relationship that exists between pets and their people.

Diane Iverson
Assistant

Diane has always had a passion for animals and their welfare. Starting as a child, and continuing throughout her lifetime, she has opened her heart and home to numerous animals in need of a home and embracing them with love. In addition, she has been on the Board of Directors for the Alliance for Animals, has volunteered for the Dane County Humane Society, and has devoted many hours to the efforts of Madison Cat Project (formerly Dane County Friends of Ferals).

She is a doting mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, bestowing her love of animals to her progeny---and all whom she has touched with her kind and compassionate heart.

Although Diane's official title at Creature Counseling is "Assistant," she does so much more. She provides a sympathetic ear for clients' who are struggling with the behavior of their pets, keeps the office operating like a well-oiled machine, and uses her expertise from being in the human health care profession for over 35 years to now benefit four-legged creatures.

It is safe to say that Diane has never seen a pet that she didn't like---and vice versa!
